HelpMi
The Kokkalis Foundation participates for the first time in a European program, namely the 'HelpMi-Helping Migrants to Integrate in Work Environments' project, which is co-funded by the European Commission under Erasmus + Programme – KA2 Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Strategic Partnership for Adult Education.
The project started on 1st September 2019 with a total duration of 24 months. The consortium consists of 5 organizations, coming from 5 different European countries (Cyprus, Greece, Finland, Italy and Poland). The project coordinator is ASDA RY with partners being Enoros Consulting Ltd, Consorzio Co&So, Foundation for Somalia and Kokkalis Foundation.
The overall objective of the project is to train HR Professionals to help migrants integrate in work environments, to better prepare and deploy the education and training of HR professionals, to confront equity, diversity and inclusion challenges in the working environment as well as to promote the integration of migrant employees. The project aims to improve diversity management competences of HR professionals in order to create an inclusive environment where each employee despite nationality is able to learn, grow and contribute to the organization’s success.
In the framework of the project, partners have already had a virtual meeting on November via Skype and discussed the workings of the project, the implementation, the activities and the IOs. They have already shared the contracts and all the necessary documents and during the first months they started the implementation of IO1 which is the ‘‘Code of Conduct for HR Managers/ Employees who are dealing with migrant workers’’. The Code of Conduct will be ready on November 2020 and it will be distributed to all interested stakeholders.
