The Kokkalis Foundation, in collaboration with the Harvard Summer School, the University of Patras, the municipality of Ancient Olympia and the Olympic Center for Hellenic Studies, has launched the Harvard Olympia Summer Program for Comparative Cultural Studies.
The initiative aims at promoting cross-cultural understanding through engagement with classical Greek heritage and through historical and philosophical investigations of European and Mediterranean cultures. The program places particular emphasis on student interaction with the cultural legacy of Greece through organized expeditions to the world famous archaeological sites of Delphi, Mycenae, Athens; the Byzantine monastic city of Mistras; and the beautifully restored fortified town of Monemvasia.
