In his new volume, Milan St. Protic examines Serbia and the Serbs from two different perspectives: as an active participant in the major political events organized by the Serbian opposition from 1991 to 2000, when Milosevic was ousted, and as an historian whose scholarly career focuses on Serbian and European history in the 19th and 20th centuries. The author offers a unique account of the struggle of the democratic opposition to introduce political, economic, social, and cultural change in Serbia. The volume was published in 2006 by Cigoja Stampa (Belgrade).
