The Kokkalis Foundation supports the International Rescue Committee (IRC) for the implementation of its activities and more specifically for the development of an Action Plan, for the Integration of Refugees and Migrants in the City of Piraeus.
IRC will closely work and support the Municipality of Piraeus, which was at the heart of the 2015 refugee crisis, with one million refugees passing through and more than 5,000 temporarily accommodated in the port in 2016, until they moved to various hotspots across the country. The Municipality of Piraeus supports the hospitality of refugees and asylum seekers in Greece, by offering housing since 2018.
